Sold

Well, the calves are sold. One guy kept coming up on his price until he finally met my price of $1.25 per pound for 575 lb steer calves. I let the other guy know that I was ready to sell unless he wanted to bid. He offered the same price but offered to take more calves than the first guy so I sold them to him. I wanted 6 cents back on the heifers and got that too. The guy who bought the calves last year got them this year. I assumed I could get this again for the calves this year looking at the cattle numbers. What will happen in the future is more questionable but that's for later.
n
nNow if the country don't burn up things are looking good.
n
nFortune is like the market, where, many times, if you can stay a little, the price will fall.
