I have been doing some research for an Olympic unit the middle girl and I are going to do for home schooling assignment. I am shocked at all the sites state that medal tracking should be done as part of the unit. I always thought that the Olympic games were about pride of competeing for your country and doing your best not how many medals each country has. The best scenes for me from the Olympics and watching that last struggling athlete push to finish the competition. The fact that the athlete didn't give up to me is what the Olympics stand for. It is sad for me to see it turned it a competition to see what country gets the most medals. It is a sad statement of what is going on in the world when this has become the most important thing In the Olympics.<br />n<br />nWhat do you think?
