Assumptions

I think somebody is operating under false assumptions here.
n
nAg economy gives buzz to upcoming farm show
n
n
The buzz surrounding the Montana Agri-Trade Exposition show is off the charts this year as merchants prepare for a crush of farmers and ranchers flush with profits from a healthy agriculture economy.
n
n"It's certainly in our favor, for the economics of the show, to have everybody know there's a lot of money in the pipeline," said Jerry Hanson, promoter of the show commonly referred to as MATE. "They got it for wheat. They got it for beets. They got it for grain, and cattle's not bad."

n
nCattle's not bad??? They definitely ain't great. Where they get the idea that cattle producers are "flush with profits" is beyond me. In fact, what I know of the grain business, even with the high prices, they aren't "flush with profits." With the high price of fuel and fertilizer, the prices they are getting are just helping them pay bills and cover some old debt from the low price years, not be flush with profits. They really need to check their facts better.
n
nIf the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts. Albert Einstein
