OK, what would I comment on this morning? If you know me it's real obvious.
Mad cow test scares U.S. beef industry
To start with I think "scare" is an awful strong term to use. Concerns or uneasy would probably be better descriptions at least if they think it through. I will point out it is only a preliminary test and a more comprehensive test is all ready being conducted. There has been a couple of cases all ready that the preliminary test was positive but the comprehensive test was negative and I bet that's the case here.
This just shows that the procedures in place are working and that we don't need to be "scared." Now it's a waiting game to see what further testing brings. Maybe I am wearing rose colored glasses but I think the American public is smart enough not to overreact to this information and use common sense. They didn't overreact last year when the one cow was found to have BSE in the US and they will not do so again.
