I see the Big Meat Packing Plants are trying to get what little beef we export to South Korea shut off. Why don't they pay attention to these things? The packers know South Korea is very touchy about importing US beef so would it be so hard to be a little more careful and not ship the wrong packages to there?
I guess so. At least South Korea is blaming and punishing the meat packing plants involved and not the whole US beef industry. The South Korean politicians must really want this new Free Trade Agreement pretty bad if they are willing to take such a moderate approach to the violation. Too bad certain South Korean people aren't real thrilled about the Free Trade Agreement and are trying to derail it. It keeps things interesting I guess.

South Korea's government is looking at the expansion of their auto industry into the US. Right now in LaGrange Georgia is the first KIA plant going up in the US. Two car lines will be built there. The FTA will lower tariffs for parts coming in AND allow for more of the automotive profits to be sent back to Korea TAX FREE just like Japan. The US gets the jobs but the profits go back to Korea. The auto industry in Korea is pushing like crazy for the FTA... with no regards to the "common folk". Sounds like immigration around here.

If the South Koreans have such a problem with Free Trade Agreements with The US, I have a perfect soulution. Pull the US troops off the DMZ bring them home and let the egomaniac thats running the North come South of the 38th paralell and show these morons what a bad deal really is. One condition. When these protesting farmers are eating grass to stay alive Don't call US to get him out.
