My new Sitz Angus bulls were delivered yesterday. Pretty fine animals if you ask me. They are going out to the replacement heifers right away for breeding. It's that time of year. Taken 4/30/2007.
I guess these must be from the Sitz Angus Ranch at Harrison and Dillon, Montana. I was curious because many years ago, I was in 4-H with Sitz kids in Nebraska and they had Angus cattle. The kids are still on the ranch and still raising Angus. I see in the history of the Montana Sitz Angus Ranch that they came out of Nebraska originally. I'll bet that they are cousins of some sort to the Sitz family at Rose or Burwell, Nebraska. (This sort of thing interests me, but probably bores others to tears. )
At any rate, they are fine looking bulls and so are the Gelbviehs.
An alert Lucky. It's not very often that we manage to get a good picture of Lucky. He is always on the move. I didn't think he knew how to sit still. Taken 7/22/2006.
