Chickens



A picture my youngest daughter took the other day of the chickens. I always like to show off her pictures when she deigns to take some. Taken 1/3/2007.

I always like to see the chickens around but we don't have any these days. I don't miss the chores, I don't miss cleaning the chicken house, I don't miss gathering and washing eggs, I don't miss chicken poop all over the yard and on my shoes but I do miss the chickens! Nice picture.

Nice shot. She has promising natural talent. Is she thinking about a Fine Arts degree when she goes to college?

As an aside, what breed of chickens are those?

I agree, she has talent. She enjoys taking the pictures but is happy with what she is doing. I keep trying to nudge her to expand her talent but she keeps resisting so I back off and let her do things her way. I know this girl, push too hard and she won't take pictures at all, slow but sure might win the game.

The breed of the chickens? I have no idea. My Darling Wife just gets a grunt run of the leftovers every time she orders chickens. They guarantee at least 5 different breeds. Usually we end up with 10 or more different breeds in 25 chicks. It makes them colorful, that's for sure.
