Well, the calves are sold. One guy kept coming up on his price until he finally met my price of $1.25 per pound for 575 lb steer calves. I let the other guy know that I was ready to sell unless he wanted to bid. He offered the same price but offered to take more calves than the first guy so I sold them to him. I wanted 6 cents back on the heifers and got that too. The guy who bought the calves last year got them this year. I assumed I could get this again for the calves this year looking at the cattle numbers. What will happen in the future is more questionable but that's for later.
Now if the country don't burn up things are looking good.
Fortune is like the market, where, many times, if you can stay a little, the price will fall. Francis Bacon
