Seoul to reconsider imports of US beef if mad cow case confirmed: official
South Korea may again ban imports of U.S. beef if tests confirm a suspected mad cow case in the United States reported over the weekend, a South Korean government official said Monday.
Doesn't this possible case just show that are system of monitoring for BSE is in place and working. It has thrown around 6 false positives all ready and even if this isn't a false positive our monitoring is set up to catch such things. Also South Korea only allows imports of meat from animals under 30 months of age. Bse is not found in animals this young and is not a problem. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.
