Taiwan says it is lifting a ban on U.S. beef imports on Wednesday, while Japanese officials have indicated they are in no hurry to lift one reimposed last week.
Taiwan's Department of Health said on its website that American beef can now enter the country – but warned that decision could be reversed if steps aren't taken to prevent higher risk beef from being shipped to Taiwan.
So, as long as some meat packer doesn't send Taiwan something prohibited, like they did Japan, we will be okay. With all the faith I have in the meat packers/USDA the market should be closed real quick because they will definitely screw it up.
Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe. Voltaire
