I see up in Missoula there is now a cat named Lucky.
Firefighters rescue caged cat from icy Missoula river
People, I'm not sure they qualify as people personally, who abandon their critters like this cat or my dog Lucky need to be abandoned to the elements and see how they like it.
By the way, Bravo Zulu to the firefighters for rescuing the kitty.

It is sad to see what people do to animals. I hope the dramatic story of rescue doesn't encourage imitators who will put an animal at risk just to see if anyone rescues the animal in time. I know we are enjoying our "pound" dog immensely. What is someone's problem is someone else's treasure. We have a throw-away culture - material items, animals, spouses, and even families. All we can do is try to instill decency in our own children hoping they will lead a new generation with good values.
