Lying in State

Let's hope and pray that the House votes with the Senate and allows the plan for Rosa Park to lay in state in the capitol to proceed.

Parks' refusal to give up her bus seat to a white man in Montgomery, Ala., in 1955 led to a 381-day boycott of the city's bus system and helped spark the modern civil rights movement.


She definitely deserves it.

Yes she does. She's accomplished more in one day than what the "supposed" civil rights leaders, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton combined, could do in a lifetime and she did it with quiet dignity and strength.

I'm sure she spent decades riding that bus, minding her own business, and then a moment in history claimed her as a champion. Imagine, what a sweet little seamstress can do...just imagine.
