There he is, wounds and all. After I finally got to look at him in daylight I found out he was male and was in worse shape than I thought. The vet saw him this afternoon and says he is about 8 month old Australian Shepard. He has a raging hotpoint infection on his head, a deep wound on one leg, mange, worms, and assorted other problems. He has been dipped, wormed, given his shots and taking antibiotics for the infection. The vet feels he was on his own for a week to 10 days.
Start the healing process. We found a collar and leash for him and he accepted it no problem. Time will tell.
I may talk about the puppies, but a girl's butt is my favorite. I'm a sucker for a pretty face, too. Jerry Lawler

He's in good hands now.
Both of my cats here in Helena adopted me; just like Lucky did your crew... Maggie has been with me now for over 7 years; Rosie for about 3; I wouldn't know what I'd do without them.
Keep us updated on his progress please...
We have often had to put strays down as there just is no way to take care of all of them. Makes a person feel like a monster except when you remember the pack that took a batch of Cassie's chickens or some similar incident.
I sure hope this works out for all of you. Good luck to you and Lucky.
A ranch without a dog?
Why that is almost un-American!
Besides -- look at that sweet, sweet face.
