
One calf would be more than usual but we've had to doctor 6 now, that's just unacceptable. What I can do about it I'm not sure but I don't like it.
One last thought to keep with you. Yesterday I about froze to death and I was wearing my wool long johns so I wore them again today. Wool long johns and 75 degree temperatures don't go together real well. I just thought you would want to know.

We haven't had a killing frost here in the yard yet. Boss said there was ice on the windshield of his tractor at the feedlot yesterday morning. However, we did have a spectacular thunderstorm at about 1 AM Sunday morning!
The water will be taken from the canals next week so the crew is busy irrigating the new hay again. Also hauling manure, plowing, etc. with $2.75 diesel fuel. How is that going to work out? Your guess is as good as mine.
We're going to sort and wean Fri/Sat.
