IF I EVER OWN ANOTHER F***ING CHEVY IN MY LIFETIME IT WILL BE TOO DAMN SOON.

Thank you for your attention to this announcment. No, it does not make me feel any better but it accuaratly reflects the views I wished to express. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

What are the alternatives? Chevy is not a common brand here. We have Holden/Ford/Toyota (top 3 brands) and then the wannabes: Mazda/Mitusbishi/Volkswagon/etc.
A reliable family car (we have a Toyota) is around $AU60K....

I've had pretty good luck with Ford's for one reason. The local dealer has very reliable and intelligent mechanics who can fix and diagnose problems. The Chevy dealers appear to staffed by monkeys.

I actually drive a Ford Panelvan - very reliable but tends to have peripheral problems (mudflaps falling off, lights bulbs blowing) - engine is fine. My wife drives the Toyota.

Mind you I figure the driving conditions are probably different to where you are....

My hubby has had good luck with his Dodge & I love my mercury villager. Last chevy I owed was a real piece of ^%#$@# and I'll never go back.

I agree with your wife...you're insulting the monkeys.

Now, the way you discretely hid that venting is great! I think all of us are entitled to strong feelings now and then. Sorry your transportation isn't holding up; out where you are, it's gotta be reliable.

I have had good luck with GM products except for the last Buick and it wasn't its fault that a hit and run driver took it out. My new car is a truck, a Chevy Equinox. So far so good. Only gripe I have yet is that it uses more gas and so I have to fill it on the way home from Billings. I HATE to pump gas and have enough sons and grandsons around her that I seldom have to!

Having problems with my 05 Equinox. My keys got stuck in my ignition and my car is having problems with acceleration for the second time. I was pressing the gas and it would not move. After about a minute it will get to about 5 mph. Unfortunatly as soon as I get a little momentum I can only get to about 20-30 mph. It is currently at the dealership now at the shop. Anyone have the same problem?

Hey, sounds familiar. On mine the wires to the throttle control actuator were messed up right in the plug where it plugs in. It's been "fixed" numerous time now. Hopefully they finally got it right this time but I doubt it.
