So, having all the big name energy companies in Montana sponsor a large part of Gov. Brian Schweitzer's upcoming energy conference doesn't mean they won't get special consideration.

They wouldn't be footing the bill if they didn't think it would help them somehow. [sarcasm]Remember, these are the evil public companies that screw people over at every opportunity[/sarcasm]. Just keeping their names in front of government officials and buying their booze for them will make those people look favorable at them. Everybody knows it so why deny it.
Gov. Schweitzer really needs to consider some other funding for this because this makes the whole thing look dirty. Letting the energy companies peddle their influence at a "public conference" is the wrong way of looking at things. But that's not unusual for our Governor.
